"Why not" listen to NECR?

Good old NECR, they ensure that Kintore is right at the heart of things for many an Aberdeenshire radio listener with their broadcasting complex in our Royal Burgh.

I love the way the self-deprecating way they call the said broadcasting complex "The Shed"! (That is its official postal address.)

When we tune into NECR my wife and I have a competition to work out how many commercials will have the call for action: "Why not...?".

Have a listen, it's good fun. While TV adverts and other radio stations assert that "there's no substitute", "you simply cannot live without", or something equally OTT, good old NECR inspires you to patronise its advertisers with a wonderfully understated "why not...." with the almost unspoken, "if you haven't anything better to do".

In the same vein I love the insurance broker that promises it will do its work while "... causing you the least inconvenience possible".

Ten out of ten for honesty. Less scrupulous advertisers on other stations would make it sound as though you wouldn't even have to lift a finger.

More than 400 stores at the click of a mouse and only one web address to remember www.deliver2.co.uk.
