Clydesdale Bank ATM fiasco - the truth?
According to reports in today's Press and Journal,
the real reason why the Clydesdale Bank ATM isn't open is because - according to
the new owners of the former bank building - the Clydesdale hasn't paid its rent
and the landlord is refusing access until it does.
So, having left the village high-and-dry without a
bank, it would appear the Clydesdale Bank has now left the village high-and-dry
without an ATM, simply because it hasn't paid its
bills.Now ponder this
question.How long would the Clydesdale
Bank give you to pay its bills before it slapped on interest and default
charges? As Gordon MP Malcolm Bruce (who
has promised to take the matter up with the Clydesdale Bank) suggested they
could take a leaf out of their own book. "... have they never heard of a direct
debit?," the P&J quotes him as
saying!More than 400 stores at
the click of a mouse and only one web address to remember www.deliver2.co.uk.
