Illegal use of mini motorbikes on pathways and roads
Mini motorbikes are being used illegally in
Kintore, claims a Kintore resident.
Anyone living near to the low-cost affordable
housing in the Betts housing estate will be more than aware of the activities
that take place including illegal use of an off road mini motorbike on pathways
and our roads.
I would ask anyone who
has any information or has seen these stupid and selfish individuals to report
them to Grampian Police. These bikes are not road legal, not insured, M.O.T.'d,
Taxed, etc. The individuals probably don't even have a provisional licence or
C.B.T.
If they were to run someone
down or hit a vehicle we would not be covered. I am already aware that young
children (5-7 years of age) have had to jump from a pathway out of the way of
these idiots.
Can we put in a request
for Aberdeenshire Council to put up rails to restrict access for pedestrians
only along the path between the Bett homes and George Wimpey homes? Better still
if Grampian Police receive enough information and evidence. then they should be
able to confiscate the bike and charge the individuals for all of the above in
paragraph two.
