Traffic on roads in Great Britain
increased by 1% in the second quarter of 2007 compared to the same
period in 2006. Cars and goods vehicle traffic were also up by 1%.
The greatest growth was light van traffic which increased 9%.

Traffic on motorways, urban A-class roads and minor rural roads showed virtually no increase between 2006 and 2007. Traffic on Rural A-class roads and minor urban roads showed an increase of 2%. (Source Department for Transport)
