November 8, 2007 President Kenny Thomson welcomed guests to a special social meeting of Kintore Rotary Club. Club Members and partners hosted an introductory evening for prospective rotarians.

Guest Speaker for the evening was Bob Thomson District 1010 Membership Services Chair who gave a humerous and entertaining insight into the work of Rotary locally, nationally and internationally. Bob concluded with a dramatic scenario, ably assisted by Club Members, centred on the Rotary message and the benefits and enjoyment of Rotary membership Following fund raising activities earlier in the year cheques were presented to various organisations by Kintore Club Treasurer Graham Leith. These included Colin and David Cribbes on behalf of Kintore Scouts, Catlin and Kieran on behalf of Kintore Youth Forum, Sandra Howitt and Michele Binnie of Instant Neighbour Trust and Alison Steadman representing the African Orphanages Project. A vote of thanks was proposed by Rotarian Roddy Duncan.
