Club Leadership Plan The structure of Kintore Rotary

All successful organisations have a structure, whereby their various functions can be managed. Rotary is no different in this respect and the structure is known as the Club Leadership Plan.

In this Plan, separate Committees manage the Club’s Administration, Publicity, Fundraising and Membership Services, while a fifth seeks to meet the Clubs’ International commitments. Every Club member belongs to a Committee, although not in a restrictive way, as specific skills and knowledge may be of benefit and utilised to progress issues which fall within the remit of other Committees.

The five Committees are headed by Conveners, who report on a monthly basis to Club Council. Also present at Club Council are the Secretary, Treasurer, the President and two Club officials who can deputise for him.

Club Council provides a forum for decision making. However, it may also defer decision making to a meeting of all members, particularly when an issue is one of significant interest or importance to the membership.

The Club Leadership Plan is flexible, designed to facilitate the business of the Club and works very well in practice.
