Several letters have been received by Grampian Police highlighting concerns for the current parking facilities in the centre of Kintore. Local residents have stated that they find it difficult to get parked in the centre of Kintore as the car park is always full. They also state that due to cars parking on double yellow lines they cannot see clearly when emerging from junctions. The Local Policing Team are committed to upholding the regulations of the current Road Traffic Regulations in place however would like to discuss the issue with the Community Council to determine if there have been further similar complaints raised.

Anti Social Behavior Patrols are currently underway in the Kintore are and occur each Tuesday and Saturday between 0600-2300 hours. The patrols have been successful in tackling a range of issues from underage drinking to parking concerns. A full report and statistical summary will be forwarded to the Community Council on the completion of the Operation.

The Local Poling Team are currently working alongside the Kintore Scout Group in the progression of a new national Scout Police Badge which the group hope to achieve through a series of tasks set out over the coming months. The tasks will have a community focus and will see the Scouts and the Police working together in identifying and tackling issues that effect the community in Kintore. Work is at an early stage at the moment but the Scout s are keen to earn the Police Badge and will keep the Community Council updated with their progress.
